F.A. is the buzz word at the moment. The FAME team at Norman Elementary met for the first time last week and we spent time doing some self reflection, watching videos, creating an amazing poster that defines our Team (that we will share at the kick-off) and gearing up for the FAME Kick-Off that is tomorrow.
We had some lively discussion about what formative assessment is and answering the quesion, "do we do it?"
Yes, of course we all do F.A: observations, projects, one-on-one, small group, whole group...
I think the main thing that we were missing was getting the students more involved with their learning process and holding them accountable for their learning.
